NOTICE

Starting January 2024, the City of Trail will be implementing a 2.4% service charge for all credit card property tax and utility bill payments. The service charge is to cover the costs the City is charged for credit card transactions.

We understand this change may be challenging, but the City has incurred, on average, $150,000 in credit card charges over the last 3 years. The City offers many ways to make a payment, we accept Interac (debit cards), cash and direct or online payments through your bank or credit union.

Also starting in January 2024, the City of Trail's online taxes and utility bill payment system will be temporarily unavailable. Our current provider does not provide the ability to attach the credit card convenience fee, therefore the online system is unavailable until this can be rectified. Payments will be accepted at City Hall or through your bank or credit union. The online payment system will remain available for business licences and parking tickets only.
